The UK has passed Italy with the highest number of deaths from COVID-19.
The UK Government took longer than all European countries to go into lock-down. The closure of schools and workplaces was held back, quite possibly the cause of the high infection and death rates.
Matt Hancock, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, has always defended the governments decision, along with Boris Johnson. It would seem that they will soon have to admit their mistakes. Let’s not forget to mention Dominic Raab and Priti Patel.

With a clear lack of lock-down decisions, hardly any PPE for nurses and doctors, and a huge shortage of testing, it the UK Conservative government has a lot of difficult questions to answer.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson had Coronavirus himself, and many thought that the government would take the situation more seriously. However, the lateness of lock-down, compared to other countries, would appear to be the main reason that the virus spread.
