Most people in Camden pop out for an evening meal after work at least once per week, because of the wide variety of restaurants in the area. We’ve been visiting a place that many locals have discovered recently and keep returning to.
The new menu from Music & Beans on Camden High Street, not too far from Koko, offers food that has so much flavour it makes us hungry even looking at the pictures. For example, the braised lemon chicken is served with Jerusalem pita and humus and salad, the vegan meze plate has all sorts of goodness put together, and the Mediterranean Buddha Bowl with roasted chic peas, sweet potato, carrot, aubergine and peppers on quinoa if one of those dishes where you think to yourself, “can food really taste this good?”
The slow cooked lamb shwarma is second-to-none, and the salmon and sea bass are prepared in a way that it’s delivered with plenty of flavour.
Veg, meat, fish, or just a few starters in the mix too, you’ll have such a nice choice, and a reason to go back to try the next item on the menu.
They have a good drinks and dessert menu too, the hot caramel brownie with ice cream tops a perfect meal off quite nicely. See the full menu here.
While you’re there, try one of their coffees, quite possibly the best coffee in Camden.
Music & Beans is on 82 Camden High St, London NW1 0LT.
