Unseen works from artists Harland Miller, The Connor Brothers, David Shrigley and Banksy are all going to be displayed at a new exhibition.
Named TYPE, the exhibition will take place at the Hang-Up Gallery in Stoke Newington, close to Camden Town. The exhibition shows the humour in art, in particular British humour. See works by artists including Banksy.
A pop-up exhibition from such big names in the street art world is bound to generate a lot of interest. It’s your chance to see these rare and exclusive pieces with your own eyes.
Text and art have been linked for decades, and today’s contemporary art world is more dominated by text and narrative than ever. Auction houses, galleries and dealers are crossing the globe to add these works to their collections, and there are four artists who are influencing this current trend: Harland Miller, David Shrigley, The Connor Brothers and Banksy. What do they all have in common aside from text? British humour.
Head to the Hang-Up Gallery from 16th March to 6th May 2018.
