Ahead of the highly anticipated UK film release of the new Judy Garland biopic, Judy, starring Renée Zellweger, St Pancras International played host to the UK’s largest choir and singing group, Rock Choir, with an exclusive live performance.
Bringing some razzle dazzle to the station’s main concourse, 30 members of the choir gathered under the station’s iconic roof to perform two of the Hollywood star’s most loved songs, ‘Over the Rainbow’ and ‘Get Happy’, which they also performed at the star-studded movie premiere on Monday 30th September.
In recent years, the Rock Choir has developed a fantastic reputation for its unique style and the feel-good experience that it gives its members. It supports hundreds of local communities and raises money for numerous charities through performances and events.
Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director at HS1 Ltd. comments, “As a destination known for our links to arts and music, we were so excited to host Rock Choir to celebrate the release of Judy. The impromptu performance gave our visitors the opportunity to enjoy the glitz and glamour of 1930s cinema, and we hope they enjoyed taking a moment out of their busy commutes to enjoy some of Judy Garland’s famous songs”.
