The recently refurbished The Golden Lion pub in Camden Town has, in a very short space of time, become an award-winning pub. They are the only North London pub to win a CAMRA award, and rightly so. Now, they’ve added an incredible Sunday lunch menu.
The Golden Lion on 88 Royal College Street is an independent pub. From our visits, it’s one of the most welcoming pubs in Camden. They choose which beer they want to serve, pay attention to the guest and advise on the drinks and menu, and have a top-notch chef in the kitchen.
Let’s cut to the chase: their Sunday lunch Sunday Roasts are only £10.95, and are right up there with the very best Sunday Roasts anywhere in the UK.
Their menu caters towards all tastes, and they are on-hand to recommend which drink will complement the meal. Delicious.
The Golden Lion is quickly becoming a regular pub amongst Camden locals, so if you’re planning a trip down for a Sunday lunch it’s suggested that you name an advance booking.
As other pubs become a part of larger chains, it’s a breath of fresh air to have an independent pub with incredible service, a good choice of drinks, and sensational food.
