Exactly 5 years ago we lost one of Camden's most popular and talented artists. She had the voice of soul, the lyrical talent way mature than her age, a sensitive and charecteristic personality, and a great person.
Despite her troubles, she fought her demons, blessed up with her beatufully crafted vocals over music she'd written with some of the world's finest musicians and producers.
We remember her from the early days, a shy teenager walking up Kentish Town Road, to gracing the stages of Camden Town's many stages at the music venues, to serving pints behind the bar of Hawley Arms and The Dublin Castle.
Despite it being 5 years since she left us her music still lives on, her message still touches the hearts of many, and she's still the Queen of Camden Town.
Here's thinking of you, Amy Winehouse.
