Just two minutes away from Euston Station, and a short bus ride from Camden Town lies Drummond Street, famous for its Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants.
Ravi Shankar is a vegetarian Indian Restaurant – the second on the street behind Diwana – which is the first vegetarian Indian restaurant in the UK! Ravi Shankar is best known for its dosas, thalis and Bhel Poori. Bhel Poori (also called Bhelpuri) is savoury and is made of puffed rice vegetables and tamarind sauce.
Their Shankar Thali is the house speciality comprising of daal Soup, papadam, bhajia, flour and curries, special rice, raita, chapatis or puris and a choice of dessert (shrikhand, gulab jamun or kheer) and costs just £12.95 for everything.
We highly recommend this Indian restaurant in London. It’s so close to Camden, Euston, and Kings Cross, and their main evening meals are second to none. In fact, their lunch buffet is only £6.95 and has an impressive selection.
