Proud Camden, situated in Camden’s Stables Market, is to close after 17 years at the location.

Proud Camden’s owner, Alex Proud, has announced the closure set for March 4th 2018, which opened up in 2001 in the former horse hospital building.

Alex Proud will be launching a new venue near the river Thames called Proud Embankment, but good news for Camden locals is that there will be a new Proud venue on Camden High Street.

The venue has hosted some top music talent including Amy Winehouse, Pulp, Sting, Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, and many more.

We will miss the music venue, club, garden bar, cabarets, and art gallery, and look forward to seeing that the new  venture will bring.

Camden Town does have some of London’s, and indeed the UK’s best clubs and music venues. With this one closing down, and relocating, we are fortunate enough to have many others to choose from.
