Let it Roll is a new record shop in Camden Town, on Kentish Town Road. We’re excited to have a new record store in the area, and caught up with owner Kieran Smyth to find out more.
Camden Town London loves music and independent shops, so we were delighted to hear rumours of a new store opening coming to the area. Let it Roll is a music shop selling vinyl, record players, and merchandise.
“Camden was the obvious choice of location for us because of its massive musical culture. All the venues, all the musicians, and so many local music lovers made Camden an easy decision for us to base our shop,” says Let it Roll’s owner, Kieran Smyth.
Smyth adds, “Let it Roll is a traditional record shop, with knowledgeable staff, and a good selection of music. We stock mainly rock albums, think Metallica, to bands like My Bloody Valentine and Pink Floyd. We also have other genres that we listen to a lot, like electronica, techno, and hip hop. We also have a huge selection of soundtrack vinyls.”
The shop, when we visited during reconstruction stage, is spacious and has plenty of record boxes. These boxes are all on wheels as they will be holding regular live DJ and band performances.
They are only a 6 minute walk from Camden Town tube station, so visitors, Camdeners, and Kentishtowners are within minutes of a new local vinyl record store.
Their opening date is May 7th 2018. We can’t wait to see the shop all fully set up and ready to rock.
Let it Roll Records is at 121 Kentish Town Road, NW1 8PB.
