As it gets sunnier outside us Camden locals grab the picnic blanket, get the sun lotion on, and hit the outdoors. Fenton House and Gardens is a perfect place to enjoy the history and weather.

Fenton House is a 17th century house and garden with plenty to see and do. The walled garden is a sight to behold, a lovely lawn and terrace, and a glorious rose garden. There is also the historic orchard which contains 32 different varieties of apples and pears. The orchard is over 300 years old.

The Benton Fletcher collection of early keyboards is both unique and wonderful. International musicians play classical works, and on Wednesdays from 2:30pm there’s a musical tour of the house.

There are also paintings (the collections of Lady Binning and Peter Barkworth), a fine needlework collection, ceramics from Chinese, English, and German collections, and a scenic view across London from the balcony.

Tickets are £8 per adult and £4 per child. Visitors to Camden can make a short trip up to Hampstead, to find them at Hampstead Grove, Hampstead, London, NW3 6SP. You can visit their website here.
