The Castlehaven Community Center in Camden Town is getting a makeover.

Work on the community park will start in the summer, and is certainly going to open up the space more and make it more pleasant in the surrounding areas.

They say, “We have fundraised over £25,000 to improve the problem area in our Community Park to make it more accessible, interactive and educational with an emphasis on community spirit. Helping the local environment is also very important to us, which is why the park will contain an organic food & plant growing area and community compost bins. Another motivating factor behind the park’s redevelopment is reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. We are opening the area up and adding in a new pathway, which we hope will increase footfall and reduce anti-social behaviour, an issue which has been blighting Camden for quite some time. We want residents to be proud of our Community Park, which is what it deserves as Camden Town’s largest green space.”

The Castlehaven Community Center does terrific work in the community, and we can’t wait to see the new building and area up-and-running.
