Camden Council’s town hall building is closed as a part of an ongoing modernisation project.
The 80-year old building will improve the sustainability and environmental performance, change the way the space is being used, and reduce running costs. A planning application will be submitted in the next few months and, subject to approval, the works will begin. The project is expected to be completed by Autumn 2021.
All of the services performed at the town hall have been relocated while the works take place.
Two new ceremony suites for civil ceremonies and weddings are now available at Tavistock House to book.
The following services are now available at the Crowndale Centre, 218 Eversholt Street, NW1 1BD:
- Birth registrations
- Death registrations
- Duplicate certificate applications
- Citizenship ceremonies
- Electoral services
The council chamber, committee rooms and services and councillors’ offices have also moved to the Crowndale Centre. The Mayor’s office and parlour will be located at the Crowndale Centre from Monday 27 August onwards.

- Nationality checking service
- Settlement checking service
- Nationality document return service
- European passport return service
- Taking notices for marriages and civil partnerships
