TFL has said that Camden Town station will no longer be exit only on Sundays.
Commuters have had to walk to Chalk Farm or Mornington Crescent to enter the underground to avoid congestion. From Sunday 6th January 2019 the station can be used to enter too – using the 96 stairs that lead to the platform.
People arriving to Camden Town station will use the escalators and to reach the station use the stairs.
The station has become one of London’s busiest stations on the underground network over the years, and there are proposals in place to extend and expand the station.
Camden Town itself has expanded, with investment in the markets, shops, and new living areas.
