Every month is a busy month in Camden Town, with a huge selection of events, gigs, shows, new openings, and things to see and do. Here’s what to look out for this January:
This month sees performances from artists covering a wide mix of styles and genres at Roundhouse, with seated shows that brings you closer to the performers and their music.
Experience one-off intimate performances in our series of fully seated shows that puts you closer to the music. Now in its second year, In the Round will open your musical mind to new experiences in a beautiful surrounding.
Musical hero and krautrock legend Damo Suzuki is an ultra-cool musician, performing his own music, all with a strong hint of them he was the singer for German group Can. Now with a strong solo career, Suzuki brings his live show to Jazz Café on 11th January.
Learn about gin, taste gin, and make your own gin. You can even make your own unique gin by bringing your own ingredients. It’s the perfect thing to do if you enjoy a good drink (don’t we all?) or a gift for someone special. A really unique experience from distiller Chris, who will show you how it’s done.

A great way to absorb the sights of Camden Town is to get on a canal boat from Camden to Little Venice. Go past London Zoo, see some of the most spectacular houses and buildings along the way, all on the peaceful canal. Open every day, highly recommended
It’s cold, it’s dark, and we’ve all eaten too much over the festive period. Why not laugh it all off? Camden Comedy Loft hosts some of the UK’s finest comedians, and you can also order drinks and a meal. January 20th sees some hilarious headliners.
January 27th sees the return of Guilty Pleasures at KOKO, one of London’s best club nights. DJ’s, drinks, and dancing like you’ve never experienced before. Expect to hear dance hits and pop classics. Get your friends together for this one – a night not to be missed.
Heavy metal band Septicflesh bring their heavy orchestral influenced show to Camden’s finest metal venue. The Greek band are one of the most respected in their genre and it’s an opportunity to hear and see them in action at The Underworld on January 22nd.
